The nuts and bolts
Our Chronic Repeat Management (CRM) service operates Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 18:00. We'll contact you according to your medication cycle and, once your repeat has been confirmed, please allow up to 72 hours for your medication to be prepared. To avoid interruptions to your treatment, we recommend responding to our reminders before your medication runs out.
CRM is currently available at our Brackenfell, Bergrivier, Gordon's Bay, Helderzicht, Kuils River and Strand pharmacies. If you're a customer of our Clara Anna or Claremont branches, please contact the pharmacy directly for assistance with your repeat medication.
FAQs
Is the CRM programme free?
Yes. Joining our Chronic Repeat Management (CRM) programme is completely free. There are no registration or membership fees.
Do I need a valid prescription?
Yes. You'll need a valid prescription from your doctor for us to dispense your chronic medication. If your prescription is due for renewal, we'll let you know so you can arrange an updated one.
Can I update my medication?
Absolutely. If your doctor changes your treatment or prescription, simply let your pharmacy know and we'll update your CRM profile.
Which pharmacies offer CRM?
The CRM programme is currently available at our Brackenfell, Kuils River, Strand, Helderzicht, Gordon's Bay and Wellington (Bergrivier) branches. CRM is not currently available at our Clara Anna and Claremont branches.
How does the repeat process work?
Our CRM team will contact you according to your medication cycle to remind you when your repeat is due. Once your repeat has been confirmed, your pharmacy will prepare your medication for collection or delivery. Please allow up to 72 hours for your medication to be prepared.
Do I have to come into the pharmacy every month?
Not necessarily. You can choose to collect your medication from your pharmacy, or have it delivered to your door. Delivery is free on orders of R200 or more.
How do I join the CRM programme?
Joining is easy. Send a WhatsApp to your nearest Essential Health Pharmacy offering the CRM service, or call our CRM office on 021 981 9404. Our CRM team will guide you through the registration process and answer any questions you may have.
CRM registrations and enquiries are processed Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 18:00. If you contact us outside of these hours, we'll attend to your registration or enquiry on the next business day.
