JOB DESCRIPTION


To promote and deliver professional, commercially viable and quality clinic services in compliance with South African Nursing Council regulations and company standards.


Purpose and Objectives

  1. Manage a commercially viable clinic in line with company guidelines
  2. Provide lifestyle management screening tests
  3. Conduct health immunisations and baby health monitoring
  4. Offer and provide reproductive health services
  5. Provide adult immunisations
  6. Provide Primary Health Care e.g. minor ailments and wound care 
  7. Manage medical waste, ensure a safe environment and safety precautions are taken
  8. Manage adverse events and emergencies
  9. Counsel and advise patients on health information, weight management
  10. Refer patients to Pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate
  11. Plan and implement projects eg. Health week
  12. Develop health professional networks


Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Registration as Professional Nurse
  2. 3 year diploma in nursing or a 4 year degree
  3. A minimum of 3 years practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines
  4. Computer literate, MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) 

Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge:

  1. Ensures patient information is held securely, confidentially and accurately maintained on an    electronic system
  2. Administration and reporting to ensure efficient running of the clinic as per company policy and processes
  3. Ensures pa yment for services received by ensuring controls in place and adhered to
  4. Manages, monitors and orders clinic services stock and equipment, along with prevention of loss and shrinkage and monitoring cold chain
  5. Financial and commercial acumen
  6. Ensures SANC registration and indemnity up to date
  7. Establishes locum network and arranges locums 
  8. Implements and conducts self-audit tool
  9. Time management
